ALBANY – Kathryn Wylde, President & CEO of the Partnership for New York City, has been named the recipient of the 2023 Corning Award for Excellence by The Business Council of New York State. The award will be presented during The Business Council’s Annual Meeting on September 21st.

Kathryn Wylde has led the Partnership for New York City since 2000. Prior to taking over as CEO, Ms. Wylde led the Partnership’s city-wide affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, and business investment programs. She is an urban policy expert and a frequent New York business community spokesperson.

“It is an honor to be recognized by The Business Council of New York State after many decades of collaborative efforts to promote public policies that enhance the state and city economies,” stated Kathryn Wylde, President & CEO of the Partnership for New York City. “The Corning Award is particularly meaningful because of the shared history of corporate civic engagement on the part of the Houghton and Rockefeller families, which has inspired my life and career.”

“Kathryn has earned this honor based on her commitment and dedication to serving the vastly diverse business interests of those in New York City for more than 20 years. The Partnership’s advocacy efforts have been critical during challenging times for businesses nationwide, particularly in New York City,” said Heather Mulligan, President & CEO of The Business Council of New York State. “Over the years, The Business Council has enjoyed the relationship Kathryn has helped to ensure the voices of employers are being heard throughout New York City and beyond.”
