The Business Council of New York State Inc. is again recognizing the history of minority, women-owned, and LGBTQ businesses and honoring them with the MWBE Award.

The Business Council believes that economic growth and prosperity should be an opportunity for all businesses in New York State, regardless of race or gender.

There are five eligible categories for the award, including an African-American-owned business, a woman-owned business, an AAPI-Owned (Asian American Pacific Islander), an LGBTQ+-owned business, and a Latinx-owned business. The businesses selected as winners in each category will be named finalists for our MWBE Award. The final award selection will be presented at The Business Council’s Annual Meeting in September.
