The Business Council is cosponsoring the 13th Annual Pollution Prevention Conference sponsored by the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Sept. 19-21 at the Hotel Syracuse.
At the conference, business, government, and environmental leaders will address issues related to pollution and the environment.
The conference will highlight efforts by DEC and industry to expand their partnerships to cut generation of hazardous substances and to cut costs, with the goal of helping industry compete, a DEC release said.
The 2000 Pollution Prevention Awards will be given at the meeting, and the Carrier Corporation and Lockheed Martin will offer tours to show their pollution-prevention and environmental management efforts.
