Business Council 2019 Annual Meeting provides forward thinking agenda while also honoring SUNY Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Nancy Zimpher
Three-day event will discuss potential impacts of 2020 state, national elections
ALBANY, N.Y.— The Business Council of New York State, Inc. today announced this year’s Annual Meeting (September 18-20 at The Sagamore Resort, Bolton Landing) will feature appearances by the Chairs of both the New York State Democratic party and the New York State Republican party.
Both Jay Jacobs, Chair of the New York State Democratic Party, and Nick Langworthy, Chair of the New York State Republican Party, will be part of a discussion moderated by Liz Benjamin.

On Thursday, September 19th SUNY Chancellor Emeritus Nancy L. Zimpher will receive the prestigious Corning Award, presented each year by Corning Incorporated to the individual who best demonstrates an outstanding level of accomplishment in their chosen discipline, as well as a deep and sustaining commitment to the people of New York. Before being named the Chancellor Emeritus, Dr. Zimpher served as the twelfth Chancellor of the State University of New York from 2009 to 2017. Prior to coming to SUNY, Ms. Zimpher served as President of the University of Cincinnati, Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Executive Dean of the Professional Colleges and Dean of the College of Education at The Ohio State University.
