Tom Eschen is the Award-Winning Evening Anchor at WRGB in the New York State Capital, Albany, NY. He anchors the 7pm and 11pm newscasts on CBS and the 10pm newscast on the CW. He also hosts the weekly Award-Winning multi-platform Power & Politics podcast. He has built a reputation as a State-wide authority on New York State politics and impactful issues, known as the reporter who will ask challenging questions, holding leaders of all levels accountable. He sat down with RFK Jr. in New York City as he ran for President, questioned then-Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg at the U.S. Capitol about his role in the Democratic Party, and got U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and multiple New York House Reps on the record regarding Joe Biden’s viability leading into the 2024 Presidential Election. He’s also pressed Governor Kathy Hochul on criminal justice reform, federal immigration policies, and the State budget process. He’s the station’s moderator for Political Debates, roundtables, and Town Halls.
