Treleaven Wines
Peter Saltonstall established Treleaven Wines in 1988 with his wife Tacie. The winery is located in King Ferry NY which is half way up the east side of Cayuga Lake near Ithaca. Peter attended Cornell University and ran his families crop farm in King Ferry. Peter became interested in grape growing and wine making after a trip to the Napa Valley. As it turned out part of the larger farm was near Cayuga Lake and made an ideal site to grow Chardonnay, Riesling and Cabernet Franc grapes.
Peter has served on the board of the NY Wine and Grape Foundation and as it's chair for four years. He is also a past President of the Aurora Rotary Club. He has been married to his wife Tacie for 44 years and has three children, two of which help run the winery.
