The Business Council of New York Prepared to

Kick Off 2026 Statewide Manufacturing Bus Tour

ALBANY, NY – The Business Council of New York State, Inc. announced today that they will be kicking off their annual statewide manufacturing bus tour tomorrow, Friday October 2. The tour - which takes place during Manufacturing Week - will begin in Albany and then travel over 1000 miles to 11 different manufacturing facilities from every corner of New York State. Over 11 regions and 10 different cities will be visited during the tour.

“Manufacturing is vital to New York’s economic strength by providing competitive employment opportunities and creating products that not only support local communities, but those across the United States and entire globe,” said Heather Mulligan, President and CEO of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. “As New York’s statewide manufacturing association, we are excited to once again hit the road to help raise awareness about our state’s vast manufacturing industry, while also celebrating unique innovation, the hard-working employees, and the many products that are made right here at home. I want to thank Broadview Credit Union, Philip Morris International, Trailways, and American Bus Association for supporting this year’s tour.”

New York State is home to nearly 14,000 manufacturing operations which provide employment to nearly 500,000 New Yorkers. In addition to touring the facilities, the visits will allow Business Council staff to hear directly from manufacturers about any challenges they may be facing, as well as what can be done to ensure that they can compete, grow, and move our state’s economy forward.
