Diallo Shabazz is a nationally recognized workforce and economic mobility executive with more than two decades of experience building employer-aligned education and training systems. His work focuses on aligning employer demand, public policy, and training into pathways that move people into skilled, well-paying jobs.
As Executive Director of the P-TECH Alliance, Diallo leads the effort to scale the high-profile P-TECH 9–14 model which pairs high schools, community colleges, and industry partners so students graduate with a diploma, a free associate degree in a STEM field, and a direct line to employment. Launched in 2026, the Alliance supports P-TECH Programs in 12 states and 28 countries. Diallo also co-founded STEAM Engine, which designs high school hubs located on large corporate campuses to ensure students have direct access to technical education and work-based learning opportunities.
As Managing Director of Braven Solutions, he was a consulting advisor for New York City's $900 million workforce ecosystem redesign, co-developed the Apprentice Accelerator expansion strategy targeting 30,000 apprentices by 2030, and advised on strategic planning for the launch of New York's first ON-RAMP initiative to prepare workers for careers in semiconductor manufacturing and construction.
Previously, Diallo served as Chief Administrator of the District Council 37 Education Fund, where he led workforce education for 125,000 municipal employees and launched the first digital credentialing system within a major U.S. municipal union. As Senior Director of Career & Technical Education for the New York City Department of Education, he oversaw the nation's largest career and technical education portfolio and built partnerships with more than 200 corporate and labor leaders.
As a sustainable development and green jobs professional, he previously represented North American civil society for the United Nations Environment Program at ministerial convenings in Switzerland, Kenya, and Brazil.
