Mark Tomasi Bio

Marketing Manager

Mark Tomasi is an award-winning creative strategist, digital marketing specialist and B2B marketer with more than 20 years of experience building impactful brand identities and digital campaigns. He currently brings his marketing acumen to The Business Council of New York State, Inc., driving communications and digital outreach for the state's leading business organization.

Mark's experience and versatility as a creative director have led to successfully executed campaigns across a uniquely diverse range of industries — spanning everything from newspapers and consumer goods to manufacturing, toys and banking. An alumnus of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Mark’s creative leadership has earned multiple prestigious industry accolades, including Telly, Davey and Graphic Design USA awards.

In his spare time, Mark serves as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the 75-year-old non-profit Berkshire Art Association (BAA). Known for his expertise in building brand awareness, strategic development and digital marketing, Mark leads the BAA’s communications efforts to elevate regional awareness of its core initiatives— including the annual Fellowship Show and the 10x10 Real Art Party. Deeply invested in community-driven art, he also has a history of local leadership as the former President and board member of the Storefront Artist Project. Through his role on the BAA board, Mark leverages his extensive cultural community involvement and creative background to champion emerging regional artists, inspire local high school art students and support college art majors across Berkshire County.

Mark is a native of Vermont, where he was born and raised with a deep appreciation for the fiercely independent spirit and stunning natural landscapes of the Green Mountain State. Today, he calls Berkshire County, Massachusetts, home, where he lives with his wife, their middle school-aged son and their disrespectful pup, Bruno Sammartino. Mark balances his professional existence with a vibrant family life that is intertwined with his passion for over-caffeinated Photoshopping, soaking up the unique culture of the Northeast region and looking for his earplugs on the way to the next altrock show.
