Colleen Matteson serves in a dual role as President, Bank of America in Rochester, New York, and Senior Vice President, Private Bank Market Trust Executive for the Upstate New York region.

In her role as President, Colleen is responsible for connecting the banking and investment resources offered through the company’s eight business lines of business to companies, families, and individuals in the region to help improve their financial lives. She also leads the effort to deploy Bank of America’s resources to address local social and economic concerns and build strong communities, as well as support the health, safety, and engagement of local teammates.

Serving as Private Bank Market Trust Executive for the Upstate region of New York, Colleen oversees the expansion of fiduciary and investment business for high-net-worth clients as well as risk and compliance oversight of investment and fiduciary policy rules and regulations. She leads local teams of Trust and Investment advisors, with industry expertise, who leverage the global presence of the bank to address the complex wealth management needs of clients throughout the region. She helps her teams address the distinct priorities of high-net-worth individuals, families, and charitable organizations, with respect to sophisticated legacy planning and charitable giving strategies, cash flow and retirement income planning strategies, investment management, customized credit and lending solutions, and specialty asset management.

Prior to joining the Private Bank, Colleen was the Business Banking Market Manager for Upstate New
York and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, she led teams of relationship managers who delivered
strategic financial advice and solutions to help companies with $5 million to $50 million in annual
revenues solutions to help companies grow, improve cash flow, manage U.S. and international
payments, and invest for the future.

Colleen joined Bank of America in 2012, when she took on a Small Business Banking Market Executive role and was responsible for the expansion of Bank of America’s Small Business footprint across Upstate NY. She led teams of Small Business Relationship Managers in both Upstate, NY and Boston, MA. In 2025, Colleen was appointed to the Board of The Business Council of New York State; Awarded Rochester Business Journal’s (RBJ) Top 100 Power Player, 2021-2025; RBJ Women’s Circle of Excellence Inductee, 2021; Named to RBJ Power List, Banking and Finance, 2024; RBJ Power 33 Inductee, 2020; Awarded RBJ Women of Excellence, 2019; Athena International Award Finalist, 2020; In 2019 was selected to join Bank of America’s Global Ambassadors Program that Mentors/Empowers Women Leaders Worldwide.


Colleen serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a member of the Women’s Exchange, LEAD, and serves as a Women’s Empowerment Network (WEN) Circle Executive Sponsor.
