Annie Norbitz
Vice President, Research
Global Strategy Group
Annie has spent her career at the nexus of insights and strategy, leading quantitative and qualitative research initiatives on behalf of major advocacy groups, ballot initiatives, independent expenditures, labor unions, corporations, and campaigns.
She is currently Vice President of Research in Global Strategy Group’s New York office. At GSG, Annie spearheads research initiatives from inception to completion and serves as a strategic partner in helping her clients meet their goals, with a specialty in messaging development.
Annie is a Long Island native who leads much of the firm’s New York work, including for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Comptroller Brad Lander, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, several 2026 congressional candidates, and an array of advocacy and public affairs clients. She’s also well-versed in the education space, working alongside clients such as the National Education Association (NEA) and the Gates Foundation.
Some of Annie’s most impactful work has been on ballot amendments, an area she’s deeply fascinated by. In addition to guiding the paid communication campaigns behind several such initiatives, her innovative research has been used to shape their actual ballot language: the only message that 100% of voters see. In 2024, she was a chief strategist behind the successful efforts to pass Prop 1 in New York and Question 1 in Maryland, as well as Amendment 4 in Florida, which got 57% of the vote.
For the past three cycles, Annie was a lead researcher for the largest independent expenditure supporting the Democratic presidential candidate (Future Forward in 2024; Priorities USA in 2020 and 2016).
Prior to joining GSG, Annie served as Vice President at Hart Research and Senior Director of Qualitative Insights at Kelton Global. In 2025, she was named to the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC)’s 40 Under 40 list.
