Danielle Gormley
Event Manager
Danielle joined The Business Council in April of 2023. Prior to joining The Business Council, she worked as a Marketing & Event Assistant at Discover Albany, Albany County’s Convention and Tourism Bureau, where she coordinated meetings and partner events, managed digital content, and developed marketing communications, including social media content and monthly newsletters.
Danielle is a member of the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Upstate New York Chapter. She first became involved with MPI as a student member while attending SUNY Plattsburgh.
Danielle graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. During her time at SUNY Plattsburgh, she was active in several campus organizations, including the Women in Leadership Club and the Hospitality Management Club. She also served as fundraising chair and co-captain of the university’s cheerleading team.
A Capital Region native, Danielle grew up in Clifton Park. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially visiting Lake George.
