The results of yesterday's special elections for one state senate seat and four assembly seats are almost all in with two races too close to call:
- Senate District 27: The race between Republican David Storobin and Democrat NYC Councilman Lew Fidler is still too close to call and could come down to paper ballots.
- Assembly District 93: Unofficial results gives Democrat Shelley Mayer the win with 79%.
- Assembly District 100: Former Assemblyman Frank Skartados will be back in Albany after beating Republican John Forman.
- Assembly District 103: The race between Democrat Didi Barrett and Republican Rich Wager for Assembly District 103 is also still too close to call.
- Assembly District 145: Democrat running on the Republican line, Mickey Kearns beat Democrat Chris Fahey, a top aide to Rep. Brian Higgins, in an upset race.
