"The business community appreciates the inclusion of an interest payment on the UI debt in this year’s budget. However, we believe there was a missed opportunity by not accepting the Assembly proposal to pay off the debt entirely. The same businesses who were forced to shutdown and then attempt to rebuild our economy will continue to shoulder the brunt of the burden until meaningful relief comes."
