Statement in Response to NYISO’s Most Recent Reliability Study
“The NYISO’s most recent findings highlight the importance of an 'all-of-the-above' approach when attempting to balance environmental objectives with energy reliability and affordability. The report shows growing evidence that the state needs to update its energy policies and underlying energy and environmental mandates. New York’s business community has repeatedly emphasized the need for reliable and affordable power, supporting the NESE pipeline project to meet those needs. Any statutory or regulatory mandates that result in energy reliability issues, limit supply, or impose excess costs will hurt the state’s overall economic climate and impede the efforts to attract chip fabs, green manufacturing, and other key industries to New York.”
