“Governor Hochul outlined an ambitious agenda today, some of which the business community is pleased to see, including efforts to bolster workforce development and create affordable childcare. We are, however, still eager to see how the governor will approach spending this session, particularly with the MTA budget and the yet-to-be-seen costs of cap-and-invest and the CLCPA. The business community, particularly our small employers across the state, and consumers, need relief from policies that increase the costs of doing business and living in New York. We are hopeful the governor and legislature understand that message.”
