Statement in Response to Auto Insurance Reform Proposals
“The auto insurance reforms put forth by Governor Hochul are a welcome relief for families and businesses across the state who are facing an affordability crisis. The reforms go straight to the heart of that problem, fraud and excessive litigation, not dangerous roads, driving up the costs of auto insurance for New Yorkers who pay some of the highest premiums in the country. By cracking down on abuse and curbing unnecessary legal costs, these proposals will reduce risk, limit losses, and help bring stability back to the auto insurance market.”
