Statement from The Business Council of New York State President/CEO Heather Briccetti regarding the State's decision to drop Call in Pay rules -
“This is positive news for many New York businesses, especially small businesses that would have struggled with the scheduling mandates and increased labor costs imposed by the draft rule. We appreciate that the Department of Labor listened closely to the concerns raised by employers regarding this regulation. We look forward to engaging with the Department and the legislature to fashion a more workable policy that addresses both the legitimate scheduling concerns of workers and the workforce management needs of business.”
