“We applaud the governor’s administration’s decision to approve the NESE pipeline project. As New York faces a dual imperative —honoring ambitious decarbonization goals while keeping the lights on and the heat running at affordable prices —the NESE pipeline bridges that gap. More than two million Northeast consumers, many in our state, will benefit from this project, which, without it, could face higher risks of shortages, constrained supply, or reliance on less clean fuels. Additionally, this project will employ more than 5,000 workers with good wages, injecting roughly $23 million in tax revenue into local communities.”
