PepsiCo Named Member of the Year by The Business Council of New York State  

Annual Award to be Presented at a September 21st Dinner    

 

ALBANY – The Business Council of New York State, Inc. announced Tuesday that PepsiCo has been named its Member of the Year. The award will be given on Thursday, September 21, at The Business Council’s Annual Meeting at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.

PepsiCo, an iconic New York business headquartered in Purchase since 1970, has been a Business Council member since 1975. Throughout their time as a member, PepsiCo has been a significant supporter of The Business Council, providing invaluable input into both policy and our political advocacy efforts. Over the past year, The Business Council has worked together with PepsiCo on major issues facing New York’s business community, including legislation that would adversely impact major brand companies and proposed changes to policies that negatively affect deposit laws, packaging legislation, and labeling mandates.

The Business Council’s Annual Meeting – Meeting Tomorrow’s Challenges

This year’s Annual Meeting will take place September 20 – 22 at The Sagamore Resort, Bolton Landing. The three-day event will focus on the issues that will impact New York’s businesses for the next decade and beyond.

  • Programming begins on Thursday, September 21, and focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) use in business practices, assessing and examining business opportunities under federal and state clean energy and green jobs initiatives, and expert analysis of the economy in 2024 and beyond.
  • The keynote address will be delivered after dinner on Thursday, September 21 by Shelly Palmer, Professor of Advanced Media in Residence at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communication. Shelly was named LinkedIn’s Top Voice in technology and also covers technology for Good Day New York.
  • The event concludes on Friday, September 22.

 

The Business Council has invited state-wide elected officials to speak at this year’s event.
