New Board Chair, Three New Directors Elected to Serve The Business Council of New York State Inc.
Newly Elected Officers Announced at Annual Meeting

Albany, NY – The Business Council of New York State, Inc. announced that Richard E. Constable, EVP, Global Head of Government Affairs and Social Impact for Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp., was recently elected Chair of The Business Council’s Board of Directors. In addition to the newly elected Chair, three new directors were elected to the Board.

The election process was done as part of The Business Council’s Board and Annual Meeting, held from September 20th to 22nd at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.

"I am thrilled to be taking on this leadership position with The Business Council of New York State,” said Mr. Constable. “The Business Council plays a vital role in helping create a positive environment for businesses to thrive. I look forward to working closely with my Board colleagues to serve our members across New York.”

Prior to being elected Chair, Mr. Constable recently served as a Vice Chair of the 50-person board comprised of executives from member companies of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. Mr. Constable replaces outgoing Chair Donna DeCarolis, President of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp., who served three terms as Board Chair and was also reelected as Immediate Past Chairwoman and Vice Chair. 

The Business Council membership also elected three new directors on September 22nd, including:

  • Howard S. Foote
    • Managing Partner, Capital Region, UHY LLP, and Managing Director, UHY Advisors NY, Inc.
  • Kirk R. Gravely 
    • President and CEO, Security Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York
  • Markus Green 
    • Vice President & Assistant General Counsel, Pfizer Inc.

Members serving on The Business Council’s Board of Directors serve a three-year term.
