On July 27, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) revised its guidance for fully vaccinated individuals. This guidance includes the wearing of masks indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission. As of July 30 – outside the city of New York and Long Island – only Orange, Greene, Westchester and Saratoga Counties are designated as substantial or high areas of transmission. This list has changed frequently since its publication Tuesday and further updates are expected.

Also as of July 30, there have been no state or local governmental directives regarding the wearing of masks by vaccinated individuals indoors, though it is expected that those will be forthcoming.

The Business Council will continue to monitor updates and changes to guidance.
