The Business Council is excited to announce the second Annual National Civics Bee New York State Competition. The competition encourages students to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Modeled after traditional spelling and geography bees, the Civics Bee allows students to win recognition and earn cash prizes by sharing ideas for improving their communities and showing their enthusiasm for civics.
The New York State Finals of the National Civics are on Friday, May 30, at the Albany Capital Center. The New York State Finals winner will be invited to Washington, DC, to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2025.
The Business Council, through our Public Policy Institute, partners with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and four chambers of commerce across New York State to host the competition. We are grateful to Kinder Morgan for sponsoring this year’s New York State Competition.
