The Business Council Calls for Fair Hearing for Judge Hector D. LaSalle
ALBANY – The Business Council of New York State delivered a letter to members of the New York State Senate on Tuesday, asking for a fair and thoughtful hearing for New York Court of Appeals Chief Justice nominee Hector D. LaSalle.
The highly respected New York State court system has always been a fair and impartial place for citizens and businesses to seek due process. The rejection of a properly nominated candidate for political reasons based on mischaracterized former rulings would undermine the confidence of New Yorkers in the process of judicial selection and the integrity of the courts.
