The Business Council, 30 Business Groups & Associations Urge Governor Hochul to Veto Climate Superfund Bill

The Business Council and more than 30 business groups and associations recently sent a letter to Governor Kathy Hochul urging her to veto a bill commonly called the "climate superfund bill." (S.2129-B (Krueger)/A.3351-B (Dinowitz))

This legislation targets sellers of fossil fuels while ignoring users as a contributor to emissions. If signed, the law would certainly face a long and costly legal challenge.
