Liz Golden, Vice President, Corporate Affairs of the Chief Business Office at Pfizer. Prior to this role, Liz was Vice President, Corporate Affairs as the global communications lead for Pfizer’s commercial businesses, Pfizer Innovative Health and Pfizer Essential Health. She was responsible for overseeing communications for Consumer Healthcare, Inflammation & Immunology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Rare Disease and Vaccines business groups as well as Anti-Infectives, Biosimilars, off-patent Sterile Injectables, global brands and the Emerging Markets. Previously, she was Vice President, Corporate Affairs as the communications lead for the Vaccines, Oncology and Consumer Healthcare businesses (VOC).  

Liz was Vice President, Corporate Communications where her responsibilities included executive communications and key company-wide initiatives, global colleague communications, corporate social media, enabling functions communications, manufacturing communications, corporate branding and visual identity, sponsorships and Pfizer’s studio operations. Liz joined Pfizer in 2006 and has held internal and external communications roles in areas including corporate reputation, corporate advertising and communications research.  

Prior to joining Pfizer, Liz was the deputy head of Communications and External Affairs at Columbia University. In this capacity, she worked as a senior advisor to the university’s president and other members of the university administration on government, community relations and public affairs issues. Previously, Liz worked at Citigroup and focused on crisis communications and corporate branding for the Global Consumer Group, including Women & Company. She started her career in the Public Policy Group at Patton Boggs, and then served as Press Secretary to Senator John Breaux (D-LA) and headed his Washington, D.C., and state communications operations.  

Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society, with a minor in Communications, from American University in Washington, D.C. She also holds a master’s degree specializing in financial management from the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University.
