Lauren Fisher has over ten years of NYS government experience, beginning her NYS career at the Division of the Budget as a Budget Fellow in 2015. While at DOB, she was responsible for budgeting for the Office of Children and Family Services, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, and the Division of Military and Naval Affairs. During her tenure at DOB, Lauren was responsible for securing funding for several high-profile construction projects and was instrumental in developing the COVID-19 reimbursement program through FEMA. Lauren came to NYSIF in 2021 to be the agency’s Chief Human Capital Transformation Officer and has moved her way up through the Civil Service system. Lauren has developed an intricate and extensive knowledge of NYSIF operations in areas including, but not limited to all aspects of personnel, training, time and attendance, benefits, labor relations, emergency management and business continuity, diversity and inclusion, and MWBE/SDVOB compliance. Lauren was an integral part of the agency’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lauren received a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Conservation Sciences from the University of New Hampshire.
