Kevin Hansen is the Head of Government Affairs and Policy, New York, at Ørsted, a global green energy company and the world leader in offshore wind. In his role, he is responsible for setting and shaping the company’s legislative and regulatory agenda in the state and supporting new growth initiatives that enhance the company’s position as the go-to partner for renewable energy and economic development. Before joining Ørsted, Kevin served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Public Policy for Empire State Development (ESD), a New York State government agency focused on encouraging business investment and job creation. Prior to his nearly decade-long tenure with the State of New York, Kevin worked in operations-focused roles for the Mayor’s Office in Washington, D.C., and as a consultant for Bain & Company.
