John is a Partner-Principal in EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice based in New York City and is CCaSS’s Americas Sustainability Advisory Leader. In addition, he serves as EY’s U.S. government and infrastructure sustainability practice leader. With more than 25 years of experience in sustainability advisory, infrastructure development, and impact investing, John leads a diverse set of client sustainability strategy projects across all sectors. 

During his professional career, he has served as part of the executive leadership team at Business for Social Responsibility, the world’s largest sustainable corporate business network. At BSR, he led the global infrastructure and financial services business group and ran BSR’s New York office.  Prior to BSR, John founded a leading national carbon offset project development company where he helped clients achieve GHG reductions in their agricultural and forestry operations. John also spent much of his career at the World Bank where he was a Sustainable Infrastructure Economist working on economic development projects globally; during this time, he was based in Bulgaria, Chile, Germany, Kosovo, Thailand, and Washington DC. 

John has a MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, an International MBA from the University of South Carolina, and a BS in International Trade and Finance from Louisiana State University.
