Jay West

Jay West is Senior Director, Chemical Products and Technology, at the American Chemistry Council, or ACC, in Washington, DC. He currently manages ACC’s Performance Fluoropolymer Partnership and Titanium Dioxide Stewardship Council, two specialty trade associations that work at the state, national, and international levels to advocate for their products. In the past, Jay managed ACC’s groups focusing on engineered nanomaterials and other innovative chemistries.
For many years, Jay has served as the head of the industry delegation to the chemicals work at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. There, he coordinates input and participation from a broad spectrum of industries to help ensure practical, science-based approaches to chemical assessment and management. OECD’s chemical testing, assessment, and management activities set scientific standards and guide policy development for chemical regulatory programs around the world.
Prior to joining ACC, Jay was a professional mediator. He holds graduate degrees from Yale University and the University of Michigan
