Jason Van Eaton
Senior Vice President – Governmental Affairs and Real Estate
Jason Van Eaton’s professional life has revolved around legislative and regulatory issues. Since 1994, he has been working in politics and government in state and federal affairs. Jason joined Southwest Airlines in 2015 and took on his current role as Senior Vice President in 2018.
Prior to joining Southwest, Jason held positions in the U.S. Senate from 1994 until 2007 when he left government service to begin a private consulting services company specializing in international business development for American companies in Asia and the Middle East. Jason operated that company for 8 years until he landed at Southwest.
Jason currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Real Estate, advocating for Southwest Airlines in Washington D.C., in the capitals of the states we serve, and in each of our cities. The goal of his Team is to protect and advance Southwest’s interests at the state, local, and federal levels of government.
Jason graduated from Texas Christian University and lives in Dallas with his wife, Mindy, and two children, Reagan and Clay.
