Crystal Griffith Joins The Business Council’s Government Affairs Team
ALBANY – The Business Council of New York State announced Wednesday, Crystal Griffith, has joined The Business Council of New York State as the Director of Workforce Development.
Ms. Griffith has an extensive and diverse background in both education and work experience related to her role in Workforce Development. Before joining The Business Council, Crystal contracted with the New York State Department of Health’s Bureau of Early Intervention. She previously spent five years in elementary education and five years in higher education, providing professional development in both entities. Ms. Griffith also has experience working with community programs throughout New York State on development and grant securement.
“Crystal Griffith is a perfect addition to The Business Council’s ambitious Government Affairs staff,” said Paul Zuber, Executive Vice President of The Business Council. “Workforce Development is a critical initiative for many of our members who are seeking skilled and willing workers across many fields. Crystal’s talents and hands-on experiences make her the right fit to lead our efforts to help create a stronger talent pipeline and improve the workforce in New York State.”
Ms. Griffith was raised in Brooklyn and moved to Albany to attend the University at Albany (SUNY). She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education and later earned her master’s degree in Social Welfare. Crystal also holds certificates in Non-Profit Management, Trauma and Crisis Management, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She currently resides in the Capital Region.
