The Business Council Receives the 2024 State Chamber of the Year Award from the National Association of State Chambers

ALBANY—This week, The Business Council of New York State Inc., was awarded the 2024 National Association of State Chambers (NASC) State Chamber of the Year Award. The recognition honors a state-wide chamber of commerce that has shown best practices and provides exceptional services and results for its members.

NASC is a national organization composed of state chambers of commerce. The award is determined by a panel of state chamber CEOs.

“We are proud and honored to be chosen for this award after a very strong and successful 2023 legislative advocacy session and a record-setting year in both new members and revenues,” said Heather Mulligan, President & CEO of The Business Council of New York State. “We would not have received this recognition without our hard-working, dedicated staff that continues to proudly serve our members each day while promoting our mission of creating a better business climate in New York State.”

The NASC recognition is the second national award that The Business Council received in 2024. Last month, the Conference of State Manufacturers Associations (COSMA), a nationwide organization serving as the National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) state partners honored The Business Council with their 2024 Leadership Award for advocacy on manufacturing issues on a state and federal level.
