A Capital Region native, Greg Floyd has spent the past 45 years in the news business.
For the past twenty years, he has been the weeknight news anchor at WRGB-TV/CBS 6.
He has covered almost every kind of story imaginable but is best known for his government accountability stories at the NYS Capitol. Greg’s “You Paid For It” reports, in which he tracks taxpayer dollars, have earned him six NY Emmy Awards, six Edward R. Murrow Awards, and multiple awards from the NYS Broadcasters Association and Associated Press.
He has also won numerous awards for his charitable activities and can often be found emceeing a local event on any given Friday or Saturday night.
His overseas assignments have included reporting on Operation Desert Shield in 1990 and the death of Princess Diana in 1997.
