About

New for 2022, the inaugural New York State Workforce Innovation Awards will present four awards to New York's workforce stakeholders to recognize outstanding workforce development, education providers, as well as business leaders, focused on developing a strong and diverse talent pipeline. Awardees will be recognized at the luncheon for their leadership and innovation in developing and/or delivering training and education to meet the workforce needs of local or regional businesses. 

The awards to be presented are:

  • P-12 Workforce Innovation Award - Baldwin Union Free School District
  • Higher Education Workforce Innovation Award - State University of New York (SUNY) System
  • Non-Profit Workforce Innovation Award - The Guidance Center of Westchester 
  • Business Workforce Leadership Award - GlobalFoundries

The awards luncheon will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the University at Albany’s ETEC Building, Albany, NY. NYS Department of Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon will be a keynote speaker.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
You may cancel your registration up to seven days prior to the event. You will be refunded, less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received after May 13, 2022 will not be eligible for a refund. The Business Council encourages you to send a substitute in your place if you cannot attend.
