Senior Economic Adviser | Biden 2020

Ben Harris is a senior economic adviser with the Biden campaign and formerly served as Vice President Biden's chief economist in the Obama-Biden Administration. He is currently the Executive Director of the Kellogg Public-Private Interface at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and the chief economist with Results for America. He has held many positions at policy-based think tanks, including serving as the policy director of the Hamilton Project and as deputy director of the Retirement Security Project. He is widely cited in media reports related to tax, labor, retirement, and fiscal policy, and is a frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal. Harris has a PhD in economics from George Washington University, in addition to master's degrees from Columbia University and Cornell University. Harris was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Namibia in 2000.
