2025 Annual Meeting Recap

Wednesday, September 17

The 2025 Annual Meeting began on Wednesday, with a full day of meetings with our Board of Directors and subcommittees. The full board heard from guest speakers, including New York State Budget Director Blake Washington. 

On Wednesday evening, we held our annual New Member & Anniversary Member Reception before hosting our President's Reception. More than 150 people attended this year's reception. 

Thursday, September 18

Programming kicked off early Thursday morning with remarks from Rodney Davis, Head of Government Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Rodney discussed current federal policies that have an impact on New York State. Two panel discussions took place on Thursday, before we broke for the afternoon. The first panel was 'Powering New York: Upgrading the Grid for the 21st Century', followed by a discussion on 'How Technology is Driving the Future of New York's Economy.' 

On Thursday evening, we hosted our annual Awards Dinner, where we presented six awards, including our prestigious Corning Award for Excellence, given to this year's recipient, Business Council of Westchester President and CEO, Dr. Marsha Gordon

Following the awards presentations, there was a fireside chat conversation with the night's keynote speaker David Axelrod. 

Friday, September 19

The two-day event concluded on Friday following a complete morning of programming that featured remarks from New York State Comptroller the Honorable Thomas DiNapoli and a panel discussion on 'Looking ahead to 2026: Political Landscape and Voter Sentiment in NY.'
