Pete currently serves as the Executive Director for Policy, Advocacy and Science for Scenic Hudson, Inc., a non-profit environmental and conservation organization in New York’s majestic Hudson Valley. Previous to this engagement, Pete served as a Special Assistant for Renewables to the Commissioner at the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, as well as the Region 2 Administrator for US EPA, protecting public health and the environment across NY, NJ, PR, the USVI and eight federally-recognized Indian nations. In addition, Pete was elected as a NYS Assemblyman in the Fall of 2006, where he served the people of the Capital District, Mid-Hudson, Southern Tier and the Northern Catskills for six terms. Through these experiences, Pete has developed a unique leadership style that has enabled him to effectively connect with a broad range of constituencies and successfully engage at local, state and federal levels.
