Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Robert J. Duffy, a Rochester native, has held significant leadership positions throughout his career. As the former New York Lieutenant Governor, Rochester Mayor, and Police Chief, he made notable contributions to reducing government costs, improving services, and attracting private investments. Duffy chaired the Regional Economic Development Councils and played a vital role in the Mandate Relief Council, showcasing his commitment to rebuilding the economy and relieving burdens on local governments. At Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Duffy works to enhance customer service, strengthen relationships, and encourage corporate social responsibility, as well as collaborating with community leaders on poverty reduction. Awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2012, Duffy holds degrees from Monroe Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Syracuse University.
