ALBANY, N.Y.—Today the vice president of The Business Council of New York State, Inc., Kenneth J. Pokalsky, will present prepared testimony to the New York State Senate Committee on Labor’s hearing regarding a proposal to increase the statewide minimum wage to $15 an hour.

A full copy of the prepared testimony can be found in the link above. A small sample is included below.

“If this were a proposal for a nearly $16 billion increase in annual business TAXES in New York State, I doubt we would even be talking about it. The proposal would be dismissed out of hand, as would the argument that it would have no adverse impact on jobs, business or the economy.”
