The Business Council Announces Five Finalists for Fourth Annual Minority & Women’s Business Award

 

ALBANY – The Business Council of New York State announced Wednesday five finalists for the fourth annual Minority & Women’s Business Award. The Business Council believes in the continued promotion of economic growth and prosperity for all, and that opportunity must be given to all employers, regardless of race or creed.

The Minority and Women's Business Award honors minority, women, and LGBTQ businesses by recognizing their history and success. Approximately 45 businesses from across the state were nominated this year by their legislators.

Award Finalists Include

  • Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen (Albany)
    • Nominated by: Senator Pat Fahy
  • Clayton’s Toys (Williamsville)
    • Nominated by: Assemblymember Karen McMahon
  • Female Fight Club NYC (Bronx)
    • Nominated by: Assemblymember Jeffrey Dinowitz
  • Rashida Sawyer Bakery (Ithaca)
    • Nominated by: Assemblymember Anna Kelles
  • Singh’s Roti Shop Restaurant and Bar (Queens)
    • Nominated by: Assemblymember David Weprin

The winner will be presented with the award at The Business Council's Annual Meeting on September 18th at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.
