Kendra Hems has been with the Trucking Association of New York (TANY) since 1999 and has served as President since 2008, where she advocates for safety, education, workforce development, and a supportive business environment. She has held key roles, including Chair of the Trucking Association Executive Council, board member of the Women in Motion Council, and advisor to Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio on transportation issues and many others.
Hems has earned numerous industry and peer accolades, including the 2014 Trucking Association Executive Council Leadership Award, the 2018 Rebuilding NY Award, and City & State's Responsible 100 Award. She has been featured in City & State’s Transportation Power 100 since 2021 and was named a PoliticsNY 2024 Power Player in Transportation. Recently, she received the 2024 Above & Beyond Women Award for her leadership.
She holds a BA in Management Science from SUNY Oswego.
