Carol Lamb-LaFay, P.E., is the Acting Deputy Commissioner for Water Resources at NYSDEC, where she leads efforts to protect and improve New York's water systems. With a strong background in engineering and decades of experience, she has overseen key water quality projects, managed watershed initiatives, and advanced climate resilience strategies. Carol collaborates with federal, state, and local partners to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and drive innovative water resource management programs across the state. Carol holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
