Statement on the Passing of Freeman Smith
“We are extremely saddened to learn about the passing of Freeman Smith, a dear friend and dedicated advocate of The Business Council. Freeman was an active member of The Business Council’s Government Affairs Committee, and served as a Trustee of The Business Council of New York State, Inc.’s Insurance Fund for more than 30 years, including numerous terms as chairperson. Freeman was thoughtful, well connected to the business community, and always passionately engaged in pro-business advocacy efforts. We extend our deepest condolences to Freeman's family.”
