  Members of the American Semiconductor Innovation Coalition (ASIC), including NY CREATES and the State University of New York (SUNY), have teamed up with The Business Council of New York State to host a roundtable conversation led by U.S. Representative Paul Tonko (D-Amsterdam) on the future of the semiconductor industry in New York State, as well as the groundbreaking coalition working towards the passage of the Bipartisan Innovation Act, which will establish a National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC)

This would have been a difficult and impossible task for almost any business. We were able to negotiate a compromise with the legislature to only include salary ranges which made the bill relatively consistent with a local law passed by New York City and one that is being contemplated in other jurisdictions

"The Business Council applauds the state Senate for the passage of a bill to extend the Sunday operating hours of liquor and wine stores. Just as the "Brunch Bill" allowed bars and restaurants to serve alcohol at 10 am on Sundays, allowing liquor stores to open at 10 am is business-friendly and good for the economy
