Tax Committee Meeting
Friday, March 14th, 2025
3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
With the Senate and Assembly one-house budget proposals expected to be issued on or about March 11, we wanted to schedule a virtual meeting of The Business Council’s Tax Committee to review and discuss advocacy efforts regarding any significant tax measures. In addition to looking at the one-house budget resolutions, the agenda will also provide an update on recent discussions with the Hochul administration on server Executive Budget proposals. All Business Council members are welcome to participate, but we ask you to register online.
Please let Ken Pokalsky know ASAP if there are any specific issues you would like to include on the meeting agenda.
New Tax Legislation
We will also be discussing recently introduced “worldwide combination reporting” legislation, see A.6629 (Lasher), which so far has been introduced in the Assembly only. The sponsor’s press release on the bill is available here. A long-dormant issue in New York, it received a boost with the recent release of a report by the left-leaning Institute of Taxation and Economic Policy, that claimed that WCR could generate more than $700 million in new annual revenues for New York State.
Registration
This meeting is for Business Council members only.
