The Cuomo administration and state legislature continue to work on a final budget agreement for FY 2021, which begins April 1. Despite strong advocate’s push for higher income tax rates, assessments on high value second homes, taxes on non-mortgage real estate loans, and others, at this point no major revenue measures have been agreed-to. In addition, we have heard from both Administrative and legislative sources that “digital advertising” or other forms of customer-data based taxes are not on the table.
