Join fellow golf and baseball enthusiasts for The Business Council’s 15th Annual Member Golf Classic! Attendees will experience unrivaled play on the beautiful Leatherstocking Golf Course, the world-class hospitality of The Otesaga Resort Hotel, mingle with our award winning broadcaster, and experience American history at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, all in Cooperstown, New York. Following a day of golf, competition and camaraderie, relax and network at The Otesaga during our 19th hole awards reception. Then, join our state’s business leaders on a quaint trolley ride from The Otesaga to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. There, you will be treated to a first-class dessert reception, private access to the Hall of Fame Gallery, and hear from our guest of honor, Tim Kurkjian!
Tim Kurkjian | 2022 BBWAA Career Excellence Award Winner
Born in Bethesda, Md., Kurkjian went to Walter Johnson High School and received a degree in journalism at the University of Maryland in 1978. He worked as a writer/reporter for The Washington Star, The Dallas Morning News and The Baltimore Sun from 1978-1989. Kurkjian also worked for eight years as a senior writer at Sports Illustrated. The last 25 years, he has been a baseball writer/reporter/analyst at ESPN. He has covered baseball for 43 years.
On December 7, 2021, Kurkjian was named the recipient of the Career Excellence Award from The Baseball Writers Association of America and was officially awarded during the induction ceremonies for the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in July, 2022.
Tim Kurkjian, age 66, is Husband to Kathy, Father to Kelly (31) and Jeff (29), and Grandfather to Carson (2).

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. No refunds after Monday, July 10. In the event of rain, evening events will still be held.

- Please call the Reservations Office 866-494-0085 Monday through Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. (hours may vary). To get the special rate you must mention the Business Council and the dates.
- Hotel reservation deadline is Friday, June 2, 2023. Please be sure to make your reservation by this date, as block of rooms will be released after that date and the discounted room rate may not be available.
- Please note that if you would like to make a reservation for Monday night, please contact the hotel by phone, as that evening is not available online.
Hotel Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations between the booking date and 30 days prior to arrival will incur a $55 administrative fee per room. Failure to arrive on the confirmed arrival date will result in the cancellation of your entire stay and the forfeiture of your deposit. Reservations are non-refundable 30 days prior to arrival and subject to a cancellation of the full stay and tax. Current state and local sales tax will apply to all room rate charges. Please note that this is a new policy for The Otesaga that will be strictly adhered to by the hotel.
