2014 Annual Meeting - Celebrating Capitalism

September 17 – 19, 2014
The Sagamore Resort
Bolton Landing

Steve Forbes, Forbes MediaMake your plans now to attend The Business Council’s Annual Meeting at The Sagamore Resort on Lake George.

Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday evening, September 17.

Through his column “Fact and Comment,” and his several books, Forbes celebrates capitalism as “the best way to unleash the creativity, inventiveness, and energy of people,” (and the best way to) “achieve the greatest possible mutual benefit for the parties involved and eventually for the rest of society.”

The meeting will feature a robust agenda spread across all three days.  New this year will be panels on promoting corporate board diversity, corporate social responsibility, the state’s new energy and tax policies, and the business issues that drive professional sports.

“Capitalism is without doubt, the world’s most moral system.”

This is a statewide election year and The Annual Meeting is a “must-attend” event on the candidates’ schedules.

The Business Council celebrates 100 years of advocating for business in New York StateThis is our 100th Anniversary and we will be marking that occasion with a celebration of our history and the history of business in New York State.

As always, The Annual Meeting is a great place to meet and interact with representatives of the leading businesses in the state.  Join us September 17 – 19 for New York’s leading business event, The Business Council Annual Meeting.

The Sagamore, located in the heart of the Adirondacks, is an island resort on Lake George anchored in Bolton Landing, New York, located 60 miles north of Albany.  Fall in the Adirondacks is often described as the most beautiful time of the year, filled with warm days, cool nights and stunning foliage. As such, we are anxious to welcome you to The Sagamore.
