Business Council statement on NYSUT protest threat
ALBANY, N.Y.—“It is ironic and troubling that just days into the school year the teacher’s union is asking its members to spend their energy trying to repress opposing views rather than focus on fixing the crisis in our schools,” said Heather C. Briccetti, Esq., president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State Inc. “We would prefer to work on finding solutions to the well documented challenges facing New York State schools, and focus on the promising results we are seeing from alternatives including charter schools and the P-TECH program.”
